In September of 1999, a school program, "Accelerated Christian Education" (ACE) was launched.

The school year closed the latter part of June, with celebrations and much excitement.  Parents were so pleased to see how well their children had learned not only to read, but to speak English.  They were impressed by the improved conduct and behavior of the children.  News about the school has spread everywhere!   Parents were flocking in to register their children into the ACE program for the new academic year.  Parents are searching for means to help pay their children's school fees.  The majority of these parents work desperately, trying to scratch out a living by farming.  They take produce to the open market, sit all day, in blazing sun ( or torrential rains) and may have 50 cents to a dollar to show for their effort.  Frequently, they must carry the produce back home for family consumption.  So for most, it will mean grave sacrifice.  We are praying that eventually the school will be self-supporting, but for now it is imperative that we subsidize the program.

The challenge before us is truly exciting!   With this explosion of interest among our Cameroon people for this new school program, we could have 235 - 240, or . . .more to enroll this year.  But. . .

We have a problem!  Even with the present three classrooms, we are limited with space.  By using the small (rented) church building during the week, we can probably manage for this year.  It is obvious we need more classrooms, but to add more classrooms - we need more land!  Accessible, suitable land in Limbe is scarce and expensive.  We are in the process of  purchasing  a 1 1/2 acre plot (adjacent to our 100X100 sq.ft.lot) which is ideal for present as well as future expansion.
Please pray the the land owner will agree to sell the property at a reasonable price and that the funds will be available soon.
